Annual Public Events

The Olde Towne Preservation Society is committed to offering free events to the public so they can experience history come to life. We do not charge entrance fees for our public events. We do appreciate any donations to help us maintain the park and offer these free events.

Our next event is...

Colonial Times: Under the Crown

April 20 & 21, 2024

Colonial Times: Under the Crown

Historical reenactors will provide a glimpse into the American Revolution and daily life during the British occupation.  There will be numerous demonstrations by interpreters and special performances by 18th century reenactors.  Period-authentic wares are available in the Village Mercantile and at the Sutler tents.

July 4th Celebration

Join us as we celebrate the birth of our country on July 4th from 10am-2pm. Our celebration includes a reading from the Declaration of Independence by the Mayor of North Augusta. You can tour the historic buildings throughout the Park and visit with reenactors as they bring history to life.  We encourage visitors to show their patriotic spirit by dressing up.  You are welcome to bring your patriotic pet as long as they are well-behaved and on a leash.

Colonial Times: A Day to Remember

For over 30 years, the Living History Park has brought our colonial past (from 1735 to 1785) to life through demonstrations and living exhibits. Historical interpretors will be available to answer questions throughout the park. You can play colonial games, sing songs, and sample baked goods! Try your hand at colonial dancing or see if you are fit to join the militia!

Christmas in the Backcountry

Come to the park to see how the Colonial villagers would celebrate the holidays. Father Christmas will be there to visit and take pictures with the children, visitors can make winter feeders for the birds and children can enjoy free cider and cookies while they listen to stories read by reenactors.  This is a one day event.
